My Journey Continues

Hi, Greetings to you all.

Hi, I'm Soe Lwin, also known as Samuel Soe Lwin. I serve as a pastor at the River of Life Christian Church in Hmawbi, Myanmar. Additionally, I am a Christian writer and a member of the Insein Writer and Journalism Association.

Over the years of shepherding a congregation and putting pen to paper, I have realized that life is a complex tapestry. It is a subtle, ongoing interplay of unexpected triumphs and inevitable trials. If you look closely at your own days right now, you might see what looks like a chaotic mix of threads—frayed edges, tangled colors, and unresolved patterns.

Yet, when I reflect on my own journey through the lens of faith and God's sovereign will, those tangled threads begin to align. What often appears chaotic and senseless to the worldly eye reveals itself as a masterclass in divine orchestration. Recognizing this undeniable truth leaves me with boundless reasons for praise and profound gratitude, and it is a truth I want to share to encourage you today.

Driven by a deep sense of thanksgiving, I aspire to leave behind a written account of my life’s journey. Whether it takes the shape of a reflective memoir or a compelling novel, my vision remains the same: to weave together the universal elements of the human experience. We all share the echoes of joy, the shadows of sorrow, and those quiet, lingering moments of nostalgia.

By presenting these experiences through accessible, lighthearted storytelling, I hope to offer comfort and guidance to you and others who might be walking a similar path. Above all, this endeavor is fueled by a desire to bring glory to God.

Beyond narration, chronicling our lives is a vital act of remembrance. I wish to express my enduring gratitude to the many individuals who have supported me. I want to faithfully record how these benefactors eased my heaviest burdens, allowing me to transition gracefully into the blessing of growing older. Their presence has been a living testament to God's provision, and their kindness deserves to be immortalized.

Take a moment today to look at your own life. Who are the people God has placed in your path to ease your burdens? Remember those who have been living testaments of God's provision for you, and give thanks for them.

Finding the time to write, or to pursue any calling, is a significant challenge. Between providing for my family, dedicating myself to active ministry, and tending to my existing literary work, quiet space for reflection is rare.

However, I am hopeful that my commitment to this process—taking it faithfully, one step at a time—will soon take root and flourish.

If you are struggling to find time for your own God-given passions, do not be discouraged by the busyness of your current season. Remember that great works are not built overnight; they are built day by day, step by step, and word by word. Even a few minutes of faithful dedication can yield a beautiful harvest over time.

My ultimate prayer is to document the rhythms of life with absolute authenticity:

  • The seasons of rejoicing and weeping

  • The moments of companionship and loneliness

  • The times of plenty and want

  • The realities of health and sickness

We are guided by the enduring truth of Philippians 4:11-13, which teaches us that true strength does not come from perfect circumstances, but from Christ who sustains us. I seek to find unwavering contentment and strength in Him through every single chapter of life.

With this prayer as my foundation, I step forward in faith, ready to begin my daily journaling. I encourage you to step forward in faith with whatever task God has placed before you today, trusting the Master Weaver with the beautiful tapestry of your life.

Warmly,

Samuel Soe Lwin
